Mabel’s Beasties
An installation about the chaos of life with a new puppy, 2025
Kate likes the “blurring of art and life”. Her installations can be quiet and may not be noticed. She likes involving other people to make her work. She has worked in the museum at Marble Hill and Strawberry Hill Houses, with staff in the education & archive departments at the Whitechapel Gallery, with the ferryman at Ham, with a group of teenage girls, with the shopkeepers of Brick Lane and even with her own dog! Kate’s work questions our insularity. She is interested in making connections or shedding light on lack of connections, and exploring relationships between institutions.
