Perfect every Time

A performance at the General Election, 6th May 2010

Cardboard, softwood, canvas, bamboo poles, acrylic paint, ink.

Carrying banners with slogans from advertising strap-lines, teenagers protest outside an official Polling Station during voting in the general election. Each ‘activist’ has chosen and/or made their own slogan.

Frustrated with the apathy regarding politics surrounding the election and inspired by the Situationists’ ideas about how the media reduces our activity and engagement, Kate made this work during the run-up to the 2010 General Election.
