Installation and Performance
Kate likes the “blurring of art and life”. Her installations can be quiet and may not be noticed. She likes involving other people to make her work. She has worked with staff in the education & archive departments at the Whitechapel Gallery, with the ferryman at Ham, with a group of teenage girls, and with the shopkeepers of Brick Lane. Kate’s work questions our insularity. She is interested in making connections or shedding light on lack of connections, and exploring relationships between neighbouring and related institutions.
