Perfect every time

A performance at the General Election, 6th May 2010

Cardboard, softwood, canvas, bamboo poles, acrylic paint, ink.

Carrying banners with slogans from advertising strap-lines  -such as Perfect every Time – teenagers protest outside an official Polling Station during voting in the general election. Each ‘activist’ has chosen and/or made their own slogan. Frustrated with the apathy regarding politics surrounding the election and reading about the Situationists’ ideas about how the media reduces our activity and engagement, the work was made during the run-up to the 2010 General Election.
