Peace of Mind

An installation on the Thames at Twickenham, 2009
woven flag, 460 x 910 mm , rope and toggle.

Finding it impossible to introduce the curators of Ham House and Marble Hill House, two stately homes, close neighbours opposite one another on the Thames at Twickenham, the artist responded by designing a flag for Peace of Mind, Hammerton’s Ferry, the passenger ferry – the go-between- running between the two houses. The flag has a hybrid logo of the National Trust and English Heritage, the organisations running the two houses.
